Email Question:
Who where some of the other crew members? In the 1980's
One of the first members was a guy named Ralph he had a very powerful style. He could flip pretty good and his footwork and shuffles were strong. He lived in Culver City Ca. Ralph became an L.A. Breaker in 82 but was already serving people at the Fox Hills Mall and Venice Beach every chance he got. He was in a crew called the "Break A Zoids" that was about 10 deep. His best moves were baby swipes that he mixed in well with his footwork and his windmills nutcrackers, and baby windmills.
Another more popular L.A. Breaker was known as "HandyMan" Eddie was amazing. He was the LazyLegs of the 80's . He did not have the use of his legs and at times he would tire but he was one of the strongest L.A. Breakers ever. His walks, Headspins, turtles, windmills were amazing. He inspired every person that saw him , not because some called him handicapped, but because he un handicapped the minds of those who could not imagine someone with his challenges overcoming them to succeed and have fun doing it. Imagine someone telling him that he was not a b-boy because he did not have footwork. Even in the 80''s people were hateful. You can see him on the movie Breakin.
